It was morning, minutes before the sun would begin to rise. People were still in bed, still wrapped up tightly in warm blankets, their heads resting on pillows. The only sounds were her own breathing and the chirps of the first bird song of the day. She didn't know why she had come out here, she could've used a bit more sleep, that was for sure. She was still dressed in the black sweats and lime green tank top that she had slept in. Her hair had been pulled away from her face, and she had thrown on a pair of black high tops and a black hoodie, to keep out some of the morning chill.
She was headed for the Lake, she had chosen to take the long way around the school for no reason at all, and now she was mentally cursing herself for doing so. It didn't matter now, she was nearly there anyhow. The first touches of pink were lightening the sky, and she remembered once again why she loved coming out here at such an early hour in the morning. She almost never saw anyone else out here, but maybe today one of her many friends would come out here for one odd reason or another.
